Hang Out

hang out at Beth Shalom, our quartet

At Beth Shalom, we have many opportunities for members and guests alike to become engaged and forge new friendships through a variety of social, ritual, and educational events. Below, we've highlighted just a few of our current clubs and opportunities, but please make sure to keep an eye on our calendar for an updated listing of our many events.

Sisterhood

The mission of Beth Shalom Sisterhood is to promote a sense of Jewish Community, fellowship and camaraderie among women in the congregation. All women members are also members of the Sisterhood. The group engages in fundraising activities to support temple programs, is responsible for the temple gift shop, and sponsors regular social gatherings.

Wine, Women, and Wonder is our series of events tied to ritual observances, personal growth, and bonding with each other. Other activities have included attending plays, brunches, art activities, and events coordinated in conjunction with the Men’s Club. All members are notified of upcoming events through email and the temple newsletter.

Men's Club

The Men’s Club is a social organization for men who join together in friendship and programs to benefit the Beth Shalom community and beyond. Through social activities and tzedakah, we encourage the growth of each individual as a vital and important member of our congregation.

We meet for regular Sunday morning breakfasts where all members of the community are invited and feature guest speakers, lively discussions, fellowship, and great food.

We host family activities that include sports, picnics, dinners, and more. The Men’s Club also supports our Beth Shalom community through volunteer efforts and fundraising. Our ongoing goal is to bring meaning into action as we encourage participation and involvement as the men of Beth Shalom. For more information, please contact the office.

Book Club

The Beth Shalom Book Club meets the first Friday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the flex space. We welcome everyone for a friendly discussion of current Jewish-themed fiction and non-fiction books. Book Club members help select the books we'll be reading and volunteer to lead the discussions. Come join us!
